It's been five years since Tyler died.

Faking his death to flee a vampire's execution order may have bought him some time, but becoming a new person doesn't solve old problems. When a familiar face from his past recognizes him it starts a series of events that will eventually snowball into something far more dangerous than he is equipped to handle alone.

With the search for the person Tyler used to be now renewed, the only way he can stay safe is by worming his way back into the family that wants him dead. To do this, however, he must successfully fake a relationship with the son of the man who wants him dead— his ex-girlfriend's older brother.

“They’re going to think I want you for your money,” he said, contemplating Andrew’s suggestion.

“And they’ll think I’m too enamored with you to notice. But they wouldn’t dare insult me by suggesting it out loud.”
